In 2001, Song was named the winner of the Nancy Lopez Award. The precocious and talented Song, a native of Thailand who moved to Florida several years ago, is writing a new chapter in women's golf history. Perhaps no female golfer has ever achieved so much at such a young age. Some of her accomplishments include being named American Junior Golf Association Player of the Year after recording wins at the Junior Orange Bowl International, the Robert Trent Jones Trail Junior Classic, the PGA Junior Championship, the MCI Championship, the Junior World, the World Golf Village Junior and the Scott Robertson Memorial.
